Three youths arrested for break-in at Luskville school, police seeking information

18 July 2024 à 3:19 pm

MRC des Collines police are seeking information from the public following the arrests of three youths, aged 12-13, in relation to a break-in at the Notre-Dame-de-la-Joie building of l’École de la Vallée-des-Voyageurs in Luskville on April 13. The arrests took place separately over the previous months, with the most recent taking place this week. Two youths were previous students at the facility.

Spokesperson Martin Fournel said that they believe more people could be involved and they are also investigating whether this incident is connected to four previous break-ins at the school, which took place on August 7, September 23, and December 27 in 2023, and January 7 2024.

Fournel said that the perpetrators gained access to the school at night either through an unlocked door or a broken window.

He added that while there wasn’t any theft that he knew of during the break-ins, in some cases there was some damage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Sgt. Sylvain Gauthier at 819-459-2422 ext. 4156.
