Raymond Pilon discusses election to Campbell’s Bay mayor
Earlier this month, the Municipality of Campbell’s Bay announced that Raymond Pilon had been elected mayor of the municipality by acclamation. The change follows the death of Mayor Maurice Beauregard back in October.
Pilon formerly occupied council seat one and had been representing the municipality at MRC council meetings in the previous months. Leen Matthyssen was elected to his former seat, also by acclamation.
Pilon has served on council for 17 years, and has also been involved with a variety of organizations in the community, from local youth soccer to the fire department.
He said that his priorities going forward would be a variety of upgrades at Maurice Beauregard Park, as well as making progress on the construction of the new fire hall in collaboration with the Municipality of Litchfield.
The full interview with Pilon (5m25) is available here.
