Pontiac Cup 3v3 tournament returns to the Fort-Coulonge arena
This weekend, the Pontiac Cup 3v3 hockey tournament is returning to the Centre de Loisirs des Draveurs Century 21 Élite in Fort-Coulonge for the first time since the pandemic. There will be plenty of action on the ice from Friday to Sunday (April 7-9) , as well as DJs Martin Leguerrier and Paul Leblanc playing in the hall upstairs on Friday and Saturday evening. The cost for spectators is $5 per day or $10 for the weekend.
Tournament founder and organizer Danick Boisvert and arena committee representative Jessica Forgues stopped by CHIP 101.9’s studio to talk about this weekend’s activities, which are a big fundraising opportunity for the arena. Boisvert said that they had a good turnout of 24 teams, spread across four divisions: Open, A, B and Women.
Forgues said that the arena committee is currently looking to replace their compressor, and fundraising events like the tournament and the snowmobile races earlier this year are a big help.
More information can be found on the tournament’s social media.
