« With the COVID-19 pandemic, accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities has become even more important to our success as a nation. Initiatives funded by the Small Projects component of the Accessibility Fund show the government working to help Canadians with disabilities access and participate in their communities and workplaces fully. Camp Misquah projects ($ 100,000) and Pontiac se branche will have a remarkable impact on people with disabilities in our community » believes the federal deputy for Pontiac, William Amos.

The Accessibility Fund supports construction projects across the country that aim to improve accessibility, safety and inclusion for people with disabilities. This year, the Small Projects Component of the Accessibility Fund introduced a new application process to give more flexibility to organizations applying for grants of up to $ 100,000 per project.

The program funds important infrastructure such as ramps, automated doors and accessible washrooms that people with disabilities rely on. The Fund also supports organizations that break down barriers for people with disabilities through programs, services and employment opportunities.
