Wanted Volunteers at TCARO

The Outaouais seniors and Retirees Table (TCARO) is looking for volunteers who would like to look after of the well-being of seniors to help fight against elder abuse and bullying.

Volunteers will be part of a group called the well-being Brigade who will focus on the well-being, respect for dignity, self-fulfillment, self-esteem, inclusion and safety of seniors.

Volunteers will be trained to become facilitators of training called “It’s not right! “. They will receive a kit that includes all the necessary material in order to be able to bring this training back to their respective communities. The purpose of this training is to provide tools for neighbors, friends, business owners, families, seniors who witness abuse.

The objective of the project is to distribute the training as widely as possible in the Outaouais, in order to create a society that values well-being among its elders and that considers any act of abuse and intimidation as inadmissible.
