The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais informed the population that as of June 14, the Outaouais region will move to the pre-warning level (yellow zone). The decreasing trend observed in the number of cases, hospitalizations and outbreaks has allowed the region to move to the yellow zone.

The yellow level measures include gatherings in private homes limited to occupants of two different residences (with distancing and wearing a mask). In restaurants, occupants of two residences may also share a table. However, it is still important to follow the enhanced standard measures. Despite this change to the pre-warning level, the public health department of the CISSS de l’Outaouais is asking the population to remain careful and vigilant. In addition, it is important to continue to apply basic sanitary measures such as wearing a mask, washing your hands and keeping a distance of 2 metres from others.

“Finally, it is more than important to get vaccinated against Covid-19 if you have not already done so. We encourage everyone who has not yet received their vaccine to visit one of the vaccination sites or one of the many mobile clinics in the region. An optimal vaccination coverage rate of at least 75% must be achieved in order for the region’s population to be properly protected”, said the CISSS de l’Outaouais.
