The Fort-Coulonge/Mansfield community pays tribute to Nathalie Soucie

26 March 2021 à 12:00 am

Members of the community of Fort-Coulonge / Mansfield reacted in large numbers to the death of Nathalie Soucie, a woman strongly involved and who left her mark in several areas. The mayor of Fort-Coulonge, Debbie Laporte, paid tribute to her by speaking of a dedicated woman, who contributed in many ways, both as a volunteer and as a proud member of the Sieur-de-Coulonge (ESSC) High School team, as well as during her time as municipal councilor in Fort-Coulonge.

Today, the Municipality of Fort-Coulonge has lost a woman who is very devoted to her community. Nathalie Soucie has touched so many everyday lives in different ways with her inspiring personality and captivating smile. Nathalie has been a great volunteer with the Fort-Coulonge Community Center (R.A.) association for over 20 years. Year after year, Nathalie was there to lend a hand to the Fort-Coulonge Carnival committee. The Mini-Star gala was a great priority and pride for her. Nathalie also served the community as a counselor from 1999 to 2005. Your mood and your beautiful personality will be missed my beautiful Nath. My deepest condolences to the Soucie and Sullivan families. My thoughts are with you. – The Mayor of Fort-Coulonge, Debbie Laporte

Several tributes from friends, colleagues, students and former ESSC students, politicians and members of the Fort-Coulonge / Mansfield community were posted throughout the day yesterday via social media.
