Special sitting of the council of mayors on Wednesday, waste incinerator on agenda

Yesterday afternoon (October 23), MRC Pontiac officials notified the public of a special sitting of the council of mayors to be hold on Wednesday October 25 at noon in the Elsie Gibbons room at the MRC office in Campbell’s Bay. The only item on the agenda is listed as: Energy from Waste file:  Business plan, Deloitte – Mandate and allocation of expenses.

Note that back in August the mayors voted to set aside $100,000 from the MRC’s accumulated surplus to mandate Deloitte to produce a business plan for a proposed waste incineration project.
