Special meeting on Connexion Fibre Picanoc abruptly cancelled

A special meeting of the MRC council regarding the Connexion Fibre Picanoc project has been abruptly cancelled, with the discussion moved to a later date. The MRC initially sent an email to media shortly before 10 a.m. on March 29, advising of a special meeting on the subject scheduled for the evening of March 30. In a followup email sent at around 1:30 p.m. the same day, MRC communications advisor Colleen Jones wrote that MRC Director General Bernard Roy had told her the meeting had been cancelled and the CFP project would be discussed at a later, unspecified date.
