Sixth annual Fort-Coulonge Mansfield Country Festival gets underway this evening
This evening (June 1), the sixth edition of the Fort-Coulonge Mansfield Country Festival kicks off at the Centre de Loisirs des Draveurs Century 21 Élite.
Organizer Phil Denault explained that this year they were expecting about 300 campers to descend on the fields around the arena and stay until things wrapped up on Sunday. By Thursday afternoon, there were already dozens of RVs creating a miniature village on the grounds.
Denault said that they have attendees from as far as Kapuskasing Ontario (a journey of roughly 750 km), and all over both provinces. He said that folks had been lining up since this morning to get into the arena and place their lawn chairs in prime spots, where they will remain for the extent of the weekend.
The full program for this weekend is available here.
