Shawville hosting winter carnival this Saturday
There will be plenty of free activities available in Shawville this Saturday (February 11), as part of the town’s 150th anniversary celebrations. Organizer Darcy Findlay explained that the winter carnival is a collaboration between the municipality, the Shawville Recreation Association and the Curling Club
He said that there would be something for everyone, available free of charge to anyone interested, mainly centered around the Curling Club, as the town’s outdoor rink is located outside. The Shawville Lions will be holding a barbeque outside with music as well.
