Révolution TV show winners feted in Pontiac
A Pontiac dancer and her partener, who recently won the reality TV dance competition Révolution, were celebrated at a party on Saturday night (January 21) at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Fort-Coulonge. Marie-Josée Corriveau, originally from Litchfield, and her partner Jason Morel were welcomed by more than 150 people at the celebration.
Corriveau said that she was proud to see the comments from Pontiac fans during the competition.
“It encouraged me to work harder, it was very touching to see the population behind us,” said she said (translated).
MRC Pontiac Warden Jane Toller presented her with the Pontiac Paddle of Accomplishment, which is the county’s highest recognition.
Litchfield Mayor Colleen Larivière also presented Corriveau with a gift for bringing greater visibility to the region throughout the broadcast of the show. To thank those present, the dance duo performed some routines, as well as a new dance to honor the memory of Annabelle St-Cyr, a student of the Corriveau School of Dance who died suddenly of a virus at the beginning of the year.
