Rapides-des-Joachims Mayor Doug Rousselle has passed away

Doug Rousselle, the Mayor of Rapides-des-Joachims, passed away on September 11 at the age of 73 after a battle with cancer. He leaves behind a wife, 2 children and grandchildren.

Pontiac Warden Jane Toller said that there will be a moment of silence in Rousselle’s honour at the MRC’s upcoming monthly meeting on September 20, and the mayors will have a chance to speak about their late colleague.

Donations in Rousselle’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Deep River and District Hospital Foundation.
