OPP searching for woman in Ottawa River near l’Isle-aux-Allumettes

The Ontario Provincial Police are searching for a 30-year-old woman in the Ottawa River near l’Isle-aux-Allumettes after a kayak capsized Tuesday night.

According to a statement by the OPP, two people were paddling in a tandem kayak near the interprovincial bridge linking l’Isle-aux-Allumettes and Ontario when their vessel capsized. A 34 year-old man was rescued but a 30 year-old woman has yet to be found.
