One injured following head-on collision in Bristol
One person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a head-on collision in Bristol last night (June 12).
At around 9:50 p.m., emergency crews were called to a scene on Hwy. 148 near the intersection with 5th Line, where two vehicles had collided along a curve in the road, ending up in the ditch. According to Sgt. Eric Cadotte of the Sûreté du Québec, there were two occupants in each vehicle, but only a female passenger of the west-bound vehicle was taken to hospital, with injuries that he described as non-life-threatening.
Police suspect that the weather conditions played a role in the crash, as heavy rain had significantly reduced visibility and the water on the road greatly increased the risk of hydroplaning.
