New ultrasound equipment at the Mansfield CLSC

Regional health authority CISSSO announced in a press release on February 29 that they had acquired a new ultrasound machine for the ER at the Mansfield CLSC.

The statement notes that the machine was purchased with the support of the Fondation du CLSC du Pontiac and donors, who raised $40,000 for the equipment.

“For the emergency room team at the CLSC in Mansfield, it goes without saying that an ultrasound machine is an essential and necessary,” the statement reads (translated). “Among other things, it makes it possible to better diagnose and treat patients. This acquisition will allow the population of Pontiac to avoid traveling to the Pontiac Hospital in Shawville in the event that an ultrasound is necessary for a diagnosis.”
