New grief support group coming in January

A free support group for people dealing with loss is set to get underway in Campbell’s Bay early next year.

Ali-John Chaudhary, a psychotherapist coordinating the effort, said that this new group comes on the heels of  a grief support group he led earlier this year. He said that while the previous sessions were for people dealing with the loss of a loved one, these groups will be focused on loss more generally.

Starting January 15, the group will meet on Monday evenings from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at AutonHomme Pontiac’s office in Campbell’s Bay. Chaudhary said that the group environment can have some advantages over typical one-on-one therapy sessions.
