L’Île-du-Grand-Calumet municipal office retains staff
Members of the Ile du grand calumet council can breathe easy now that their office staff has agreed to stay on. In September, CHIP 101.9 revealed that the administrative employees at the L’Île-du-Grand-Calumet municipal office (director general and administrative assistant) were planning on resigning once the election was over. Mayor Jean louis corriveau, in a french language interview with my colleague francois carrier this week, explained that they had been convinced to stay on, and said he was relieved.
According to an interview with Mayor Jean-Louis Corriveau, who was elected in November, the employees were convinced to return to the municipality. Corriveau said it was a relief since Île-du-Grand-Calumet had seen 7 directors general succeeding each other in less than 4 years.
The full (French-language) interview with Corriveau is available here.
