“It’s an electoral budget” – Michel Gauthier

“It’s an electoral budget” – Michel Gauthier

21 April 2021 à 12:00 am

The Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) candidate for the riding of Pontiac for the next election, Michel Gauthier, called the federal government’s budget “electoralist”. Michel Gauthier nonetheless mentioned that there were good things, but accuses the Liberals of targeting a clientele for the next election.

“Part of the budget priorities are based on clienteles for the election. We do not make a decision with a view to a priority, but with a view to an electoral result, ”says Michel Gauthier.

He also addressed the issue of transportation, in which he believes the government should have invested more. “The federal budget tabled is also too timid on the issue of transportation in the Outaouais region”, also believes Michel Gauthier.

The interview with Michel Gauthier is available here.

Please note that CHIP 101.9 will discuss the federal government’s budget this Thursday with the MP for Pontiac, William Amos.
