The latest statistics report from the Centre intégré de santé et de services (CISSS) de l’Outaouais shows an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the Pontiac Local Service Network (RLS) in the past few days. As of today April 7th, the number of active cases in the Pontiac is 25, an increase of 13 from last week.

In total, the number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic we are now at 128 as of today. At this time, statistics do not yet indicate the number of cases per municipality.

It should be noted that the majority of COVID-19 cases were located in the Municipality of Pontiac with 65, and the total number of cases in the Pontiac MRC was 39. The total number of cases per municipality is expected to be posted in the course of tomorrow.

Additional staff responding to the vaccination request
Yesterday (April 6), the Centre intégré de santé et de services (CISSS) de l’Outaouais reported receiving a large volume of calls for vaccination appointments. They wanted to remind the public that the easiest and fastest way to make an appointment is to go to the Québec.ca/vaccinCOVID page. Staff have been added to support the call centre. The CISSS reiterated that people who are not in the priority groups being vaccinated in their area should avoid calling, requesting a web-based appointment platform or showing up for vaccination. For those who do not have access to the Internet or who have difficulty using it, it is possible to call 1-877-644-4545 option 7 to make an appointment.
