The number of power outages that have occurred in the Upper Pontiac in recent years seem to have seen some improvement, at least in terms of the lengths of outages in the municipalities of Isle-aux-Allumettes, Chichester and Sheenborro.

According to statistics collected by David Gillespie who tracks the outages, the number of minutes spent without electricity has decreased from 4030 in 2016 to 784 minutes (about 13 hours) in 2017. The number of outages also decreased this year from 75 to 58 outages.

Those most affected and involved in these power outages acknowledged the improvements, but stressed that they are always looking for ways to improve, especially for businesses that often have to shut down for a few hours during outages.
