Impaired driver charged after accident in La Pêche

On Saturday, December 4, at around 3:40 p.m. MRC des Collines Police received a call for a vehicle off the road near 305, route Principale Ouest in La Pêche. At the scene, officers quickly noticed signs of impairment.

“A 69-year-old man from La Pêche was arrested. Subsequently, he was tested with a breathalyzer. The results of these tests were twice the allowable limit, so his vehicle was seized for 30 days and his driver’s license was suspended for 90 days. He will appear on impaired driving charges. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident,” police said in a statement (translated).
