Heat wave hitting the Pontiac region this week
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement warning of a heat wave this week, with temperatures reaching 30 degrees or more for several days.
“However, weather will remain dry, which will limit the added effect of moisture on the temperature felt. During high heat events, drink water abundantly, even before feeling thirsty,” the statement reads. “Young children, pregnant women, the elderly, persons with chronic underlying medical conditions and those working or exercising outdoors are at higher risk.”
