The mayor of Fort-Coulonge, Gaston Allard, has resigned which will be effective immediately. Gaston Allard spoke of changes in his professional and personal life to explain his decision. He will be on the Bonjour Pontiac show tomorrow morning (November 12) to answer questions for CHIP 101.9.

Being less than a year from the elections, the municipal council of Fort-Coulonge can either call an election or even appoint a mayor to replace him. Recall that Gaston Allard won the election as mayor in the municipal election in November 2017.
