Fort-Coulonge Fire Department celebrates 65 years

The Fort-Coulonge Fire Department celebrated their 65th anniversary at the Club l’age d’Or on Friday evening. Both former and current members of the brigade were present, along with their families and members of municipal council. Several firefighters were recognized for their years of service, and many stories were shared of memorable calls and some of the antics members had gotten up to.

Fire Chief Gaétan Fortin and his assistant, Gilles Dionne, talked about how the service has evolved over the years.

They explained that the camaraderie among the team as one of the primary benefits of being a part of the department.
