Flash freeze warning in effect for the Pontiac

12 February 2022 à 12:00 am

Environment Canada has issued a flash freeze warning for the Pontiac.

“Temperatures will drop rapidly this morning. Puddles, wet snow and any additional precipitation will freeze as temperatures drop” –Environment Canada

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Flash freeze warnings are issued when a rapid drop in temperature is expected, that can cause water from rain or melted snow on streets and sidewalks to quickly freeze.

To report severe weather, send an email to QCstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #QCStorm.
