Environment Canada issues air quality warning for Pontiac
Environment Canada issued another air quality warning for the Pontiac region on Monday, as smoke from forest fires in northwestern Ontario may cause respiratory issues for vulnerable citizens.
Children, elders and those with cardiovascular issues are at risk and may experience irritation or difficulty breathing. According to Environment Canada, conditions will improve gradually over the course of the day.
For more information on forest fires, visit the Canadian Forest Service website or the Société de Protection des Forêts Contre le Feu website.
