Environment Canada issues air quality alert

Environment Canada issued yet another air quality alert for the Pontiac region today (August 4), which is expected to last until the afternoon. Smoke from forest fires in northwestern Ontario and Manitoba are negatively affecting the air quality, from Rapides des Joachims down to Shawville.
Children, elders and those with cardiovascular issues are the most at risk and may experience symptoms such as throat irritation or shortness of breath.
