The Phare Ouest organization is developing a project to commemorate Pontiac history at the Chutes Coulonge Park in Mansfield. As part of province-wide “Culture Days” coming in September, the group’s spokesperson Louis Harvey told CHIP FM that they would be creating a garden area marking the history of logging and forestry workers in the region. He said he hoped it would become a unique venue for things like poetry readings or music.

The “Culture Days” will take place from September 24 to 26 across Quebec. The full (French-language) interview with Louis Harvey is available here.
