Mining company Sphinx Resources Ltd. has announced the appointment of a new director, Daniel Deschambault, as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company, effective immediately. He is also appointed administrator. “Jeremie Ryan is stepping down as President and CEO and Director, but remains available for the transition process,” Sphinx said in a statement. A Pontiac native, Ryan is leaving the post after being officially appointed in December 2018.
“Mr. Deschambault has been a member of the Order of Chartered Public Accountants for 35 years, and was an assurance partner for 22 years for Canadian firms. He has acquired a good background in the mining industry, particularly in mineral exploration, and has been involved in mergers, acquisitions and sales of companies,” the statement reads.
Sphinx is a mining exploration company that focuses its activities in southwestern Quebec in search of deposits of precious metals (gold, silver, palladium and platinum,) and base metals (copper, zinc and lead). The Company is particularly active in the MRC Pontiac, among others, with projects located in Île-du-Grand-Calumet.
