Another health warning for products from Pontiac Abattoir

Another health warning has been issued for products from the now-shuttered Abattoir les Viandes de Pontiac.

The Ministry of Agriculture (MAPAQ) is warning the public to not consume that the following products, as they were slaughtered without respecting the inspection process:

Beef (various cuts and ground meat): All products packaged between March 7 and 11, 2024 and whose traceability number is one of the following: 5827, 5828, 5829

Cattle offal: All products packaged between March 7 and 11, 2024

Sheep carcass: All products packaged between March 7 and 11, 2024 and whose traceability number is the following: 504765086

The MAPAQ statement notes that the notice is precautionary and they have not had any illnesses related to these products reported thus far. Anyone in possession of these products should dispose of them as they may be unsafe to eat.
