The Director of Public Health in the Outaouais, Dr. Brigitte Pinard, is confident that the COVID-19 situation in the Pontiac is under control and in the right direction. Despite recent cases or the situation at Sieur-de-Coulonge high school, which saw a new case emerge, she believes the situation is encouraging. On the other hand, she believes that the secret to containing the number of cases lies in respecting the rules of public health.

The data remains encouraging, although there was an increase in cases last week. What must be ensured is proper monitoring of public health rules. According to statistics from the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais, the number of active cases in the Pontiac is now 18, as of June 2.
