Agendas released for May 15 MRC meeting, waste incinerator resolution from Litchfield mayor

The agendas for the TNO and MRC monthly public meetings, scheduled for May 15 at 6:30 p.m., were released earlier today. The meeting will take place in the Elsie Gibbons room at the MRC office in Campbell’s Bay, but will also be streamed live to the MRC’s Facebook page.

Of note is a resolution put forward by Litchfield Mayor Colleen Larivière regarding the MRC’s proposed waste incineration project. At their previous municipal meeting, Litchfield council put forward a resolution to request the project be abandoned.

Larivière’s motion is followed by one put forward by L’Isle-aux-Allumettes Mayor Corey Spence, entitled “Next steps – Residual Materials Management”.
