262 tickets for excessive speeding in connection with an SQ operation on Wednesday

All the Sûreté du Québec service centers in the Outaouais-Laurentides mobilized on Wednesday (May 19) as part of a special road safety operation. This large-scale operation, which is one of a series of operations planned for the year, targeted illegal and/or dangerous behavior identified as the main causes of serious traffic collisions in Quebec. Particular attention was paid to excessive speed.

262 tickets for excessive speed;
6 statements of offense for not wearing a seat belt;
5 statements of offense for the use of electronic devices while driving (cell phone);
83 reports for various offenses.
