Paige Dubeau joins Dawson College women’s hockey team

A young woman from Shawville, Paige Dubeau, was recently selected by the Dawson College Blues women’s hockey team. While she started out playing with the boys on the Shawville Lions, she spent the last three seasons playing with the Gatineau Intrépide AAA female squad.

She said that it was a bit of an adjustment at first, but the three seasons in the city paid off.

Dubeau said that while she also had an offer from Cégep Heritage College, she chose Dawson College after meeting the coach and other players at their tryouts in December.

This summer, Dubeau will also be heading to the University of Wisconsin for a camp with their team. She said her goal is to play in the NCAA once she’s done with Cégep.
