MRC Pontiac hires new strategic communications advisor
At a special meeting of MRC Pontiac council on August 24, it was announced that they had hired a new strategic communications advisor, Francis Beausoleil. His start date is September 11.
Beausoleil previously worked as an executive assistant and office director for former Pontiac MP Will Amos, and most recently as a special assistant to current MP Sophie Chatel. He is also in his second term as a councillor in the Municipality of La Pêche, located in MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais.
At the meeting, Warden Jane Toller spoke highly of outgoing communications advisor Colleen Jones, who started working at the MRC in January 2020, and the council gave her a standing ovation.
Jones thanked the mayors and highlighted some of the projects that she was proud of, including updating the MRC’s brand and website.
Correction: this article has been updated to correctly state that the Municipality of La Pêche is located in MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais, not MRC Vallée-de-la-Gatineau.
