First Liberal Party Youth Commission President from Outaouais
The Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ) announced last week that Laurence Lefebvre was named the President of the party’s Youth Commission. Lefebvre is a former staffer for Pontiac MNA André Fortin. She joined the party in 2017 and quickly advanced through the ranks, holding various positions with the Youth Commission including regional president for the Outaouais and vice-president before being named to her current role. She is the first president of the Commission from the Outaouais region. The Youth Commission is made up of party members between 16 and 25
Lefebvre studied at the University of Ottawa, obtaining a bachelors degree in conflict studies and human rights, with a minor in political science. During the last election campaign, Laurence held the position of press attaché for Fortin and was also responsible for media relations for the Outaouais. Since January 2023, she has been using her expertise in communications and Quebec politics working for the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, Sean Fraser.
