Québec launches new online platform for self-declaring rapid tests results
The ministre de la Santé et des Services sociaux, Christian Dubé, has announced a the new online platform for self-declaring the results of a COVID-19 rapid test is now up and running. This new platform allows Quebecers to upload the results of their rapid tests in order for the government to keep track of the amount of test being conducted at home and their results.
”This new tool will allow our public health team to keep better track of the progress and the spread of the virus. We should even be able to have a much more realistic and generalized look at the general situation across the province,” says Christian Dubé, ministre de la Santé et des Services sociaux. ”This will allow us to adjust the health measures accordingly with real time results. I would invite all residents to follow their symptoms and to declare the results of their tests online, positive or negative.”
For many weeks, the COVID statistics released by the different CISSS’ across Québec, including the CISSS de l’Outaouais, did not included the results of positive rapid COVID tests. Therefore, CHIP 101.9 decided not to report on the statistics regarding the active cases of COVID-19 in the region, with concerns of indirectly misleading the population due to the number of cases being released potentially being far different from the actual number.
This new platform is intended to allow people to register the results of their rapid tests, which in turn helps contribute to providing the province with the most accurate statistics on the number of cases across Québec. With regards to tests in screening centers, that are now reserved for certain very specific priority groups and where the number of known cases is therefore underestimated, this new tool will help better assess the positivity rate in the province.
To make a declaration, residents are asked to go to Québec.ca. They will have to enter certain identification data as well as the result of their rapid test.

The platform has been the subject of security tests carried out by the Government Cyber Defense Center of the Ministry of Cybersecurity and Digital, in collaboration with the Cyber Defense Operational Center and the teams of the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS) .
The Government Cyber Defense Center provides government leadership in preventing, protecting, detecting and responding to information security incidents.
Since October 2, 2021, People have been encouraged to report a vulnerability that could be exploited during cyberattacks and, thus, affect the availability, integrity or confidentiality of systems and infrastructures within the Quebec government departments and agencies.
This can be done by going to the Vulnerability Reporting Platform that the Government Cyber Defense Center has set up at: Vulnerability Reporting Platform.
It is also possible for a person to enter the results of their child’s or guardian’s rapid test on the platform.
The platform is also accessible to people who do not have a health insurance card.
