Citizens who wish to submit questions for council of mayors meeting have until November 23

Citizens interested in submitting their questions for the TNO Council or Regional Council of Mayors meeting on Wednesday, November 24, can do so using the form available here. The question period ends Tuesday, November 23 at 2:00 p.m. The MRC Pontiac indicates that if your question is not answered during the session, a member of the MRC staff will respond to it within 30 days of the date of submission.

There will be several new faces around the table with it being the first following the municipal elections. Making their first appearances as mayor are Bill McCleary of Shawville, Ed Walsh of Clarendon, Christine Francoeur of Fort-Coulonge, Sandra Armstrong of Mansfield-et-Pontefract, Corey Spence of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes, Terry Lafleur of Otter Lake, Odette Godin of Waltham and Doug Rousselle of Rapides-des-Joachims. Jean-Louis Corriveau of L’Île-du-Grand-Calumet made a brief appearance back in 2017 when he was acting mayor.
