Friday night fire claims Clarendon home
A fire tore through a home on the Fourth Line in Clarendon Friday night (October 29), also damaging a nearby outbuilding.
Shawville Clarendon Fire Chief Lee Laframboise said that his crews received the call at around 9 p.m. to a property on the Fourth Concession and responded with four trucks. When they arrived, the house was fully engulfed, and they spent several hours on scene.
The radiant heat from the fire also ignited a nearby outbuilding but firefighters were able to extinguish it. No injuries were reported.
Police spokesperson Sgt. Marc Tessier said that they are currently investigating the cause of the blaze.
