CHIP 101.9 sits down with Municipality of Pontiac mayoral candidate Roger Larose
CHIP 101.9 traveled to the Municipality of Pontiac to meet with the mayoral candidates. Roger Larose, a former councillor and mayor from 2013 to 2017, is one of the three candidates vying to gain the public’s confidence. He said that he would prioritize working collaboratively with council, as well as maintaining the municipality’s roads.
Larose added that another priority would be consulting and communicating with residents, as he believes that citizens are not being properly informed about the decisions made by council.
Larose said that he would like to see more involvement in the municipality from MRC des Collines, especially with a warden elected by universal suffrage. He said that many people don’t even realize that they are in a separate jurisdiction from MRC Pontiac.
Larose is running against the current Mayor Joanne Labadie and another former mayor, Eddie McCann. Interviews with these candidates will be broadcast shortly.
The full interview with Larose is available here.
