Call for projects under the sectoral agreement for biofood development in the Outaouais

Non-profit organizations, municipal organizations, Indigenous communities (band councils), cooperatives and social economy businesses, bio-food businesses and bio-food business groups are invited to respond to a call for projects under the Outaouais biofood development sector agreement.

To be eligible for financial assistance, the project must:

Align with a regional priority established by the steering committee:
– Entrepreneurship and development of production;
– Succession and establishment;
– Transformation;
– Marketing and promotion;
– Food security and healthy lifestyles;
– Environment;
– Do not conflict with a policy or measure of a partner signing the Agreement;
– Have a collective reach;
– Respect the legal and regulatory framework in force.

The projects will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

– Regional influence (number of territories directly affected by the benefits of the project);
– Structuring and innovative aspect (impact of the project on the territory);
– Quality of the financial plan (precision and realism of the financial package);
– Quality of the implementation plan (realism of the proposed schedule);
– Quality of the governance structure (composition and expertise of the team);
– Magnitude of the impact on the biofood sector directly associated with the project;
– Impact on issues related to development and access to employment in order to promote the integration, maintenance or creation of jobs in the agricultural sector;
– Consistency of the project with the regional priorities established in the action plan of the sectoral agreement;
– Quality of the communication and visibility plan;
– Support for the project by other strategic partners in the area.

The beneficiary’s contribution to the project may take the form of financial, human or material resources. The contribution cannot be made on a voluntary basis. All projects supported under the Agreement must meet a maximum cumulative government assistance of 80%.

Organizations must complete the project submission form and submit it by Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.
