10 January 2021 à 12:00 am

The Public Security Police Service of the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais will take part in the implementation of the new ministerial decree regarding the public health emergency, re- confinement and curfew as of today January 9th until February 8th 2021.

“We are currently living an exceptional situation and we are all going through difficult times. However, in order to bring this crisis to an end as soon as possible, we will fully cooperate with the implementation of these measures to support the efforts of the Ministry of Public Health. Any citizen who is not at his/her residence between 8:00 pm and 5:00 am will be considered in violation, except for specific derogations which are already stated in the decree (essential workers, essential travel for medical reasons, security, etc…). It will be up to each citizen to demonstrate that he or she is covered by one of the authorized derogations. During this period of exceptional measures, additional police officers will be deployed to
increase the presence of our public security service on our territory. Our patrol cars will be seen with their flashing lights on to increase our visibility and remind citizens about the importance of following the rules ” explain the Public Security Police Service of the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais .

As always, our police officers will show judgment and discernment in their interventions. The objective is to avoid all forms of gatheringsin order to minimize any risk of contagion from COVID. Workers will find the form to submit to their employer to confirm that they are entitled to leave their residence during curfew hours (Formulaire d’attestation de
déplacements durant le couvre-feu). Offenders may be fined between $1000 and $6000 ($500 for teenagers between 14 and 18 years old) if they are not able to adequately justify the reason for their travels. The message is clear: “Stay home! Help us to help you!” said the Public Security Police Service of the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais.
