Liberals call on the Legault government to speed up the use of rapid tests

3 December 2020 à 12:00 am

Pontiac MNA André Fortin calls on the government to use rapid COVID-19 tests in view of the holiday season. According to André Fortin, there are more than a million tests sent by the federal government that would prevent the spread.

“The Government of Canada has approved the rapid tests and sent its tests to Quebec and we are not using them. There are 1.2 million rapid tests that could be used to prevent the spread of the virus. For example, one could use his tests for people who return to residences after having spent the holidays with family. I am the ones who think that when one level of government does something, there is no need for a second ” affirms Mr. Fortin.
